Sudden death

If regulation ends level, the match goes to sudden death: the first player to win a round takes the match. Like a deuce in tennis, you keep playing until somebody actually wins, rather than splitting the pot on a technicality.

When it keeps pushing

A sudden-death round is pushed whenever both players call the same side, or the candle closes flat, so it can repeat. After 5 pushed rounds the match stops level. That is a draw: no fee is charged, and both bets come back in full.

Every way out is lossless

  • Either player can send both bets back straight away, paying only the network fee.
  • If neither does, anyone can end the match once 90 seconds have passed, and the bets still come back in full.

Nobody can hold the other player's money hostage by stalling.
