Settlement and payout
The winner takes both bets, less a fee of 1% of each player's bet. The fee is charged only when a match is actually decided: a void, a refund or a timeout costs nothing at all.
A worked example
A 0.005 ETH room
- Each player bets
- 0.005 ETH
- The pot
- 0.01 ETH
- Fee, 1% of each bet (0.00005 ETH each)
- 0.0001 ETH
- The winner claims
- 0.0099 ETH
Claiming what you won
Payouts are pull-based. Settling does not send money to anyone: it credits your balance inside the escrow, and you withdraw it when you choose.
That is a safety property, not an inconvenience. A settlement that pushed money out could be blocked or abused by a hostile recipient, and this one cannot be.
